Sajek Thana police rescued the Dhaka University student who was kidnapped on her way to Sajek with her friends.

Rangamati Superintendent of Police (SP) Mir Abu Tauhid said that she was rescued from Buno Adam in Daripara of Sajek Union at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday (September 6).

It should be noted that Dwipita Chakma was abducted on the way to Sajek on a tour on behalf of the educational institution. Around 12:30 p.m., tribal armed men stopped the car and abducted her from Sergeant Kamal Chatwar's area of Shijkachara on the Dighinala-Sajek road.

The Superintendent of Police said that the student was rescued from the Daripara Buno Adam area of Sajek Union. She is currently in police custody.

It is known that Dwipita Chakma is a student of the 2017–18 session of the Public Administration Department of Dhaka University. Currently, she is studying for a master's in the same department. Her village home is in Khagrachari Hill District. She is the daughter of Shitendra Vikas Chakma, a resident of the upazila.

Dhaka University Public Administration Department Chairman Professor Dr. Ferdous Arefin Osman expressed his satisfaction with the rescue of the student. He said that we were constantly monitoring. Dwipita is now safe and sound._Agencies
